Robust teaching and learning tools (TLT) based on simulation models can be used to improve the student’s understanding and stimulate learning. This research aims to study the impact of using a graphical user interface (GUI)-based TLTs in teaching power electronics. Initially, student’s learning and understanding outcomes are evaluated without utilizing the TLT, and in the second phase students are exposed to the GUI-based TLT, and their learning and understanding outcomes are evaluated. The outcomes reveal that the student's understanding is enhanced through the proposed GUI-based TLT.
The findings are currently under review. Therefore, please come back later to find details of this research.
